Big day... well, in my own perspective.
Today I physically get my car!!!
Went to get a loan yesterday at my Credit Union, things went pretty smoothly - I thought I wouldn't get it approve by the end of this week and I have to pick up my car next week.
But I guess that daimoku and determination to get a car this holidays did pay off. The loan person, Bill, pulled some strings and just called me today at 9:30am in the morning saying my cheque is ready.
Mysteriously, Simon, the dealer, called shortly afterwards asking me to come in the afternoon around 3pm today (which is about 5 hours from now) to pick up the car.
I'm over the moon right now... excited. I'm getting my first ride, purchased with my own money!!! (Well, technically the credit union's money, but eventually it'll be by my own money!)
I'm really grateful to lots of people, Jun who was with me on the day that I bought my car - really helped me morally and also picked up on things that I wouldn't even notice or put into the negotiation. Thank you!!
Bill, the loan guy, and Simon the dealer, he's throwing in some extras without his bosses knowledge - I won't say it here as I don't want to get him in trouble. So as an expression of thanks to him, I'm going to advertise to all you folks out there in Melbourne, Australia that are looking for great quality used cars, go to Essendon Toyota and look up Simon. Say Vic recommends him! And I do.
But amidst this excitement, I'm also feeling dread. I haven't really done much preparation for term 02. Must work harder!! Holidays are so deceptive, you enjoy yourself, but come back to work feeling... well, feeling shit.
Anyways, I'm officially in debt. Welcome to society! I'm a big boy now... I have debt!! Sigh...
Growing old when you are feeling young and like a carefree student is tough.
