Special Feature: LY's Birthday Pictures & Prezzies!
This post is a special feature by request. As you might notice, it has many pictures; all of them indirectly having to do with me. In fact, all of them having to be totally relevant to LY and her birthday last week on Saturday.
I got her a very expensive fountain pen... well, relatively expensive fountain. I initially wanted to bring her to Cashmere house and let her pick an item of clothing that'll keep her warm in winter, but she insisted that there is more 'value' in getting her the pen.
Which brings me to a point... buying birthday presents are such a hassle. I have so much difficulty deciding or picking the right present. In fact, I'm such a pragmatist that if I had my way in getting presents, I would end up offending someone in the process. For example, if you had bad BO, I would give a lifetime supply of deodorant - it's practical and useful and relevant to you, so why not give it as a present?
Anyways, ended up ordering (more like paying) for LY's pen on the internet, but because of some banking snafu, it didn't come until earlier this week. To complement the pen, LY went ahead and bought some Caran De'arch inks... and ended up with no spare pen to use them... lol...
On Saturday (last Saturday) we had a party at Hard Rock Cafe - I had this pork sandwich which I pretty soon got a bit sick of because I ordered it with vinegar sauce... the aftertaste became too much to bear. But some how or other I managed to get it down - because I don't want to waste food. So right after the pen and ink pictures would be the b-day party pics.
After dinner we all headed to Rayner's place and almost immediately a couple of us were stuck to the PS2. We played a bit of Simpson's Hit & Run, quite fun... but got a bit boring... then we started to play Katamari Damashi 2. Awesome game!! Just rolling things up is so addictive.
LY got the OST of the game (Katamari 1) and I was listening to it on my car stereo - not really a good idea as the main theme song seems to compell me to run things over as if to roll them up into a ball... hahaha...
Well, that's the gist of what happened last weekend - so like I said, this is a special feature! Enjoy!!
