Kena saman.... :(

I got a saman... well, two actually. And for those linguistically impaired, saman means, 'fine' in Malay/Indonesian.

First one... apparently I got clocked at 108 km/h in a 100 km/h zone - funnily enough, on the traffic infringement notice, they also have an 'alleged speed' of 106 km/h. So why isn't the 'alleged' speed 108???

Anyways, they got me on August 17 - and I remember that night as I was driving home on the Western Ring Road (the last leg of my journey). I passed this car parked on the green beside the highway. It was just around the bend just after the Keilor bridge. I was thinking to myself - speed trap!! But it was a bit too late to slow down enough. I checked in the mirror and thought to myself, 'Nah... couldn't be'.

But, it had to be - and proof of that is the $138 fine, plus 1 demerit point.

The funny thing was that when I got the letter, I thought it was for a different location that I thought I got caught in... hahaha...

The second fine was a parking fine in Springvale. Went there with LY and her brother for lunch and I managed to grab a parking spot because that place was packed! But I didn't noticed the 1/2 hour parking sign and we happily Yum Cha for about an hour and shopped a bit for 1/2 hour. And it cost us $55.

Not happy! :(
