Picnic
Went to a picnic today at Doncaster/Ruffie Lake Park. It's a beautiful place on a beautiful day. The sun was up and shining happily. Members of SGIA from around Victoria was there on that day and we had the barbie going. We also had a small generator and a marquee set up so we had live music going for most of the morning and afternoon.
I think it's the first time in many weeks that I got to enjoy myself outdoors and relaxing with some good food! Had some time for myself to lie down on the picnic rug and play my PSP games... hehehe... a bit funny because I'm playing video games outdoors. I could've went and kick some soccer or doing something more 'outdoor-ish' but, meh....
It the time of the year where all teacher kind of dread and look forward to... report writing time... and also the end of the school year! Next week will be very interesting for me as I teach half of my load because all my Year 11's finished on Friday. I'm looking forward to the math conference on Thursday and Friday next week and hopefully learn a few useful thing and bring it back to school for use.
Been planning to help organize my school's math faculty... thought I draw up and propose a plan to organize our resources into somewhere central. Maybe make up a catalog searching system. Hmmm... a lot of work. Must really break it down and don't chew off too much.
Also really want to go challenge myself and take the lead as the new science coordinator. But I'm feeling very ill prepared for the role and whether the school are willing to let me have a go at the position. Again I am worried of taking on too much. I want to do things properly and effectively the first time round.
Lots of things to do over the holidays - got lots of ideas on how to teach my classes better next year, and part of it is to organize my resources. Hope I get some work done over the holidays... ^.^
