Weddings and what-nots...

Just got back from a wedding reception @ St. Kilda Road. The restaurant is a very nice place aesthetically. It is "The Willows" and it's main dining area is an outdoor marquee. I guess conceptually it is an excellent idea, but I realized the flaw is that it is very noisy from the road traffic just outside. The restaurant just sits off one of the most busiest roads in Melbourne! To add to that, their PA is not quite loud enough, pretty much every body has to be silent to be able to strain slightly to hear everything.

Otherwise, besides my minor gripes, it was one of the nicest reception that I've ever been too... very unique and cosy environment - gives you a feeling of friendship and good fun instead of a 'formal' event.

It's funny to see all your friends get married out and attending their reception. Because almost everybody would definitely ask you (well, me in particular) when it is my turn. And that puts me on the spot. Not that I don't want to get married or don't want to be committed. I'm more practical... no money, no talk. Nothing to do with love. Love may be eternal, but money usually dictates how eternal it is... I mean, have you ever seen a bum get married at all?? That's how I feel right now, a bum - in the money sense - so much coming in, so little saved.

Maybe I gotta be more tight on my budget. Been splurging a bit on gaming stuff and on my car. But the biggest purchase is my new laptop that I am using right now. And I love my tablet... So handy to have something that I can actually write on.

Will be getting back to work next Tuesday. Not too keen to get back... don't feel ready, but I guess that's the challenge we all must face up to at work. So many things to do, so little time.

I'm a bit excited on how things are turning out with my new classes, but a bit apprehensive and I guess partly due to my lack of confidence in teaching the Yr12 Physics subjects. I don't like the fact that I have time to think about this... I rather just dive in head first and go for it.

Send me some good luck! ^.^
