Harvest
Been a long time since I've blogged.
Lots of busy things and laziness has been happening in my life. Work in Term 01 was mediocre and a bit exciting at times, but generally I'll give it a 'meh' rating.
Then I went on a 3 week holiday.
In the past 3 weeks I was taking in the sights and sound of Malaysia. And generally been given the comment that I was fatter... >.<
I bought her a 0.31 carat diamond ring. I was glad that the four figure sum was in 'RM' instead of 'AUD'... hahaha... call me cheap, but when I took a quick look at what was in Australia, the amount I paid could barely get anything decent for her finger.
So back to the 'lost' buzz I was expecting to feel. Basically I didn't really get any, mainly because almost everybody didn't let me do the things I want to do in my way.
Then just this afternoon after work, one of my colleague's told me to do dig up the neglected potato plant plot. He said that there'll be a few of them there. The plant had long since shriveled up and died - I had neglected it since end of February and I wasn't expecting much.
I started weeding because the grass was starting to over grown the whole plot. The funny thing was that the more I pulled and dug, the more I felt better.
Then the magic began. I started digging and suddenly I see a baby potato stuck on my trowel. I gently started to dig around and one by one, small little potato started popping out of the ground! The I ended up digging at the garden plot for about half an hour, digging deep into the soil to pull out the roots of the weeds and picking up potato's along the way. By the time I stopped, I couldn't have felt better. I was so inspired and so positive - I've even decided to try and grow some leafy vegetables. Which reminds me, I'm gonna do a bit of green thumb research on growing veges...
So I'm going to share my harvest with all of you in the form of pictures:
