Almost done!

Ha-ha!

I am on the brink of victory!

I have about 4 more pages to go before I finish my biblio-nightmare of 5 years. You see, I was given a book to read by Edmund in year 2000 (or was it 2001?) titled Life; An Enigma, a Precious Jewel by Daisaku Ikeda (trans. by Charles S. Terry). In all honesty, I was interested in reading it, but at that time it was too heavy for me... in fact, fell asleep whilst reading it (which is a very rare thing as I always finish a book or stop reading before I go to sleep).

Anyways, I've been on and off trying to read the book for that whole year and every couple of months Edmund would ask me what I thought about it. In the second year of possessing this book, Edmund had already ceased asking what I thought about it... instead he was asking if I had finished it. Each time I would say I haven't and will do so in a months time. Months stretched to half a year to a year. So from 2001 - 2004 I just left it on the shelf gathering dust and as I pass it each time I would swear to read it... then forget that I had swore to read it within the next few seconds ^.^

In October this year (2004) Edmund asked me again if I had finished the book (by now it was a running joke) so there and then I made a determination that I would finish the book by the end of this year!

So it's December 31st, 2004... about 12 more hours before 2005 and I have 6 pages (well, 12 pages as it is double-sided) to go... wooo hooo!!!

Hmmm... I think I am celebrating before I have actually done the task, huh? And I probably forgotten most of the stuff I have read.

But... the point is that I have finished (well, will finish) the book before 2005!!!

Yay! So now I shall go back to my reading... ^.^
