Weekend

What a weekend... can't really say it was a busy weekend because it really wasn't, but then again, it seems like I did do quite a bit.

Something happened on last Friday which I have no recollection of... and no, it wasn't because of alcohol related or anything like that... I have a suspicion that it was the night that I invited my friend D who lives in the next door apartment to partake in my excessively loaded fridge and watch "Gojira, Mothra, Baragon, King Ghidorah: Monster All Out Attack!"

We laughed through almost every minute of the movie and felt a bit sad when Gojira vaporized Baragon with his nuclear beam breath. Anyways, D didn't finish the movie that night 'cause he had to get to work @ 5 am the next morning!!!

Saturday: Woke up with LY and both of us went to a BBQ organized by our friends in SGIA. It started to rain a bit but the clouds moved on pretty quickly. The sun was up but the weather very cool, probably wasn't even more than 20 degrees celcius. In a way, it was a blessing as the number of flies out were minimal although visible. Had a simple selection of sausages and chicken with salads and some indian food ^.^ yum!!

It was a nice get together event - oh ya - we were having a BBQ along the Yarra River near the botanical gardens. We finished by around 3-4pm and about 10 people stayed on to relax a bit on the slope-y hill. We played charades for a while before going our different ways. ET, me, R, and KC went to KC's new apartment @ Southbank and we hung out there until about about 10 pm. We had a nice chat and discussion about human relationships and challenges. As usual, I learnt quite a bit from people who were much older than me ^.^

Anyways, at KC's place, I started to feel "heaty" and realized that I was having a slight fever. Nothing serious, but I kinda expected it. My throat was abit itchy and I felt a bit sneezy in the morning. When I got home I immediately rummaged through my 'backyard pharmacy' and self medicated myself with a cold tablet and vitamins with a large helping of water ^.^

Sunday: 12:01am my gf come's home from work and walks into the room singing "Happy Birthday" with a single party candle stuck on top of a ham bun. I could only look at her in amuzement.

Anyways, went to sleep soon afterwards and I felt very tired and feverish. But just as I was about to sleep the phone rings and it was my mom! We chatted quickly and ended our call. And just as I went back to bed, I realized that she never said a single word of "Happy Birthday"... hmphf! :(

Woke up feeling a bit better, but my mouth felt really dry. No matter how I tried to quench my thirst with water all day long, I still felt really dry at my mouth. Then I suddenly develop a cold sore at the corner of my mouth - almost as if I had an allergic reaction. Felt sick the whole day.

In the morning me and LY went to our SGIA meeting at the centre. It was our Region/Area Youth leader's meeting. Spent the whole morning discussing things and bringing up important points and clarification for the direction of 2006. Was a bit boring and not my ideal way to spend my birthday, but meh, didn't really care. I wasn't planning on celebrating or doing anything special this year; it just felt like another day, only just people 'congratulating' me for some reason.

Anyways, went back home after the meeting and spent some time with LY watching a movie before heading out for dinner @ Kaneda. We both had a pleasant and simple bento box set meal. For some reason, thinking about that dinner seems to be the highlight of the day.

LY had to go off to work after dinner and I stayed at home and decided to take a nap. Earlier in the week I sent a mass email telling everybody if they were interested to join me @ a pub for some free pool. I didn't expect anybody to come and quite a bit of people indicated that they weren't really free on that day. So I felt a bit lazy to head off to the pub; but after dinner I told LY that I wouldn't go and that I'll wait at home; if someone did come they'll just call me and I'll go there afterwards. Felt a bit bad after LY left for work, so I decided to take a nap first then wake up and see how I felt. I wanted to play some pool but to go all the way to North Melbourne seems too much of an effort for me... hehehe... ^.^"

Anyways had a great nap until Rh woke me up with a phone call. Realized I was a bit late so I got dressed and rushed out to the pub. Had a few round of pool with Rh and relaxed a bit. Met another person named Victor at the pub. ^.^ what a small world!!

We both left the pub around 9:30pm and I got home @ 9:45pm. D gave me a call and asked where the pub was... told him I was @ home. D came over a bit later with some dim-sims and a six pack of Kirin beer ^.^ = but I already had too much to drink from the pub. We finished off our Gojira movie that night before EPs came over also. Three of us watched Chris Rock's tv series pilot "Everybody Hates Chris" and then chatted amongst ourselves and LY until quite late before they left.

Today I woke up late and didn't feel a day older. Birthday's are so overated. But I must admit that this year's birthday was refreshing - no hassles, no special treatments, no trouble. Just another day in paradise called life! ^.^

Spent my whole afternoon filling out an online AUStudy claim form from Centrelink. Hehehe... afterall I just became eligible to apply since yesterday.
