Dolphins!! ^.^

I think Dolphins are amazing creatures... highly intelligent and in a way, cute.

Anyways, I took some video clips of a dolphin show in Safari World (Bangkok, Thailand) and thought I would share them here. And by the way, there's no sound, in case you're wondering.

I'm not too sure where I stand about zoo's and animal rights. I mean, we keep dogs as pets and teach them tricks for entertainment purposes. So is it alright to 'exploit' these dolphins for entertainment purposes. Afterall, I did pay to go and see them. In a way, they're like money making tools.

But then, from a scientific viewpoint, having these species in a 'live' preservative state is important... afterall, it's a way to better study animals to help us in improving measures that we can take to help our natural environment.

What's clear is that we, as a human race, must better respect the 'lesser' species - to the point that we don't see them as 'lesser' beings, but an important element or component of our environment, our society and world. I truly believe that animals and plants do serve a purpose in our survival... besides as food, that is... ^.^

Other than intelligence, dolphins also reminds me of:
