Potato Watch Day 09
Yay! Day 09 for my potatoes. And nothing popping out of the ground yet. I'm really tempted to dig them up and see if they are establishing roots or just dying.
Been a very easy and yet hard day. Woke up late today - around 9 am - school called me twice to see if I was coming in (the Vice-Principal himself actually... :P ) Was so tired and sick last night that I slept through my alarm.
Managed to finish corrections on my reports and uploaded them onto the school server today. I had to start filling in the insurance claim for the school car that I scratched the other day. Took it to the panel beaters (missed the turn off by 10 kms!! Well, to be fair to me, it was out on country roads and there were no signs, just directions like, the post box with a little red roof opposite the road).
But I guess the most eventful thing that has happened so far is that I accepted a new role for next year. I'm going to be the sole Physics teacher - teaching both the Year 11's and 12's VCE. The pressure will be on the teaching the Year 12 as I am definitely under-qualified (a little bit) but I like this challenge. I want to go and learn how to teach it by just jumping into the deep end. Need lots of chanting to support all my students so that they'll pass with flying colors in their Year 12 exams!
A bit anxious but excited about this new development.
Staff Christmas party to look forward to, this Friday night. Will be a interesting night because I'll also drive back to Melbourne the same night.
