Busted

Got busted by the cops tonight - just a couple of hours ago. Was speeding 15 km/h over the speed limit. 3 demerit points and $220 fine.

I wonder why the cops have to ask "Do you have any reason why you are exceeding the speed limit?"

I mean, it doesn't matter what you say, you'll get booked. I really wanted to say,

Which reason was it that won't get me the fine?

But then they'll book me anyways for being a smart-arse. At this rate, I think my pay rise is going to have no net impact on my income. :(
